About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Debit Control Specialist to join our Housing, Neighbourhood and Building Services directorate within the Business Support Business Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the direct debits process, including direct debit collection and rejections.
  • Ensure that property and rent account charges for our rent accounts are accurate by working closely with New Tenancy Officers and Housing Officers.
  • Coordinate Freedom of Information (FOI) requests; direct requests to the correct resource and chase responses to meet tight legislative deadlines.
  • Oversee the administration of mobile devices for the directorate.
  • Manage the provision of concessionary TV licences for sheltered blocks.
  • Support the Home Contents Insurance Scheme offered by PCC through AON (broker).
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed for the directorate.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Strong numeracy skills for account management.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills with practical experience of spreadsheet applications, specifically Excel.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Able to manage and prioritize a diverse workload.
  • Good communication skills and confidence in dealing with people.
  • Able to use initiative to make informed and appropriate decisions.
  • Able to learn, develop and adapt to changing situations within the role and team as well as driving improvements to processes.
  • Good knowledge of Freedom of Information & Information Governance.
  • Able to work well within a team.
