We are seeking a Materials Logistics Coordinator to enhance our specialized team. This position is crucial for overseeing the management of materials and supplies.

The service is integral to the provision of consumables, implanted devices, and stock management within various clinical settings, ensuring operational efficiency in a dynamic healthcare environment.

This role is vital in supporting clinical operations to ensure that patient care is delivered effectively and efficiently.

We are looking for a diligent, committed team member who possesses strong IT and communication skills, along with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively. Reliability and the capability to work under pressure are essential attributes for this position.

Key Duties

The successful candidate will join a small team responsible for ensuring that materials and supplies are efficiently managed and readily available. We seek individuals who excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with clinical staff.

Attention to detail is crucial, as is experience with IT systems used in healthcare settings. The team will collaborate with suppliers and procurement partners to guarantee product availability and assist with training and organization within the storerooms.

Additionally, the team will support the logistics of the managed theatre services, including inventory management and electronic requisitioning.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Understanding of Materials Management principles and customer service skills, preferably through relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
  • IT proficiency certifications.
  • Progress towards a CIPS qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks related to assigned responsibilities.

Desirable

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with NHS procurement and materials management processes.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
