We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team on an ongoing contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain services.
Key Responsibilities:- Planning and Scheduling: Plan and coordinate the movement of goods from cartons to containers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Communication and Liaison: Liaise with clients, forwarders, hauliers, agents, retailers, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Identify and resolve issues promptly, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that stock levels are up-to-date.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Experience: No prior experience required, but a background in logistics or customer service is preferred.
- Skills: IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Personal Qualities: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Competitive Salary: £12.25 per hour, increasing to £12.96 per hour after 12 weeks.
- Training and Development: 2 weeks of comprehensive training to ensure your success in the role.
- Flexible Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with flexible start times between 8am and 9am.
- Benefits: Company pension, healthcare package, free parking, and 25 days of holiday per year.
