Role: Level Crossing Installation Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Level Crossing Installation Supervisor to join our Infrastructure Division. Reporting to the Signalling Manager/CRE, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing signalling teams involved in the installation and maintenance of level crossings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Management: Supervise and mentor signalling teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, Network Rail standards, and company procedures. Foster a culture of safety and quality within your team.
  • Project Delivery: Manage installation projects, allocating resources effectively, adhering to budgets, and delivering high-quality work on time and within scope.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure the safety integrity of all activities undertaken by your team, conducting regular audits and reviews to maintain compliance with Network Rail and Colas Rail safety protocols.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of level crossing systems, including object detection technologies. Provide technical guidance and support to your team members.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and other departments, to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Engineering or technical qualification relevant to rail signalling systems.
  • Proven experience in the installation and testing of level crossings, including object detection systems.
  • Experience leading and managing teams within a rail infrastructure environment.
  • Strong understanding of Network Rail standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
