About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Coordinator to join our team at St John Ambulance. As a key member of our fleet management team, you will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles comply with current legislation and meet the organization's fleet policy requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the scheduling of all mechanical servicing and fleet regulatory requirements, including deep cleaning and calibration of equipment in line with national policy and procedures.
- Ensure all defected vehicles and equipment are repaired in line with St John Ambulance policies and procedures, and returned to the customer base in a timely manner.
- Verify the accuracy of all aspects of vehicle information held on the fleet management system.
- Collaborate with Volunteer Fleet Teams and Ambulance Operations to support the effective delivery of the fleet function within the designated geographical area.
- Ensure all vehicles are equipped with the necessary levels of equipment, and that such items are procured in a cost-effective manner.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working within a similar role within a fleet management or logistics environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improvement.
