Position Overview: The IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining the technological framework of Jarvis Brown Associates. This position encompasses both software and hardware elements essential for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating user assistance for the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Microsoft Applications, and Microsoft Windows.
  • Engaging in broader Network & Server Administration duties, which include overseeing modifications and expansions of the organization's Wide Area Networks (WANs) and Local Area Networks (LANs).
  • Providing technical support for various software applications, ensuring seamless operation of the IT systems.

Core Duties:

  • Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the existing IT software and hardware infrastructure, which includes managing custom application software, Microsoft applications, operating systems, and various hardware components.
  • Ensuring the efficient operation of all IT systems within the organization, diagnosing and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
  • Collaborating with other IT professionals or external vendors as necessary to address complex IT challenges.
  • Participating in the formulation of IT strategies aimed at boosting operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Delivering training sessions to staff members on the utilization of various IT systems and applications.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of all IT-related issues, resolutions, and modifications made within the IT infrastructure.
  • Supporting various projects across the organization.
  • Executing any additional IT support functions as required by the organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with the organization's Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of hardware and software components is essential.
  • Current awareness of IT and software trends to provide effective solutions tailored to diverse user needs.
  • A background in technical support or similar roles, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in managing network infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and delivering user support for various IT systems.
