Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our IT Department in the Education sector. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our IT infrastructure, including server and desktop operating systems, physical and virtual infrastructure, storage, IT hardware, networks, and data backups and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for our IT infrastructure
  • Work closely with the Head of Department, Technicians, and the rest of the IT team to resolve technical issues and provide technical support
  • Use excellent customer relationship and technical skills to provide mentorship to junior members
  • Assist in managing the IT infrastructure and provide technical and administrative support and solutions
  • Follow documented control processes and allocate and escalate enquiries as necessary

Requirements:

  • Basic Apple Mac support
  • IT hardware
  • Microsoft 365 platform including Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Security and Compliance Centre
  • The ability to produce clear and accurate documentation
  • Experience of working with smart screens
  • Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 equivalent

Working Hours: 08:45-17:00, Monday - Friday

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per annum
