IT Infrastructure Support Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support for our corporate and customer-managed IT infrastructure and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing day-to-day technical support for IT infrastructure and projects
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware, operating systems, software, and applications
  • Assisting in the administration of corporate servers and applications
  • Carrying out daily, weekly, and monthly duties as requested by the IT Operations Manager
Key Tasks:
  • Building laptops and PCs according to internal and customer specifications
  • Ensuring the smooth running and patching of the desktop environment
  • Managing and supporting onsite A/V equipment, including video conferencing and projectors
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Following departmental change control process and procedures
  • Working within the remit of cyber security policies
  • Assisting with the administration of nominated customer IT equipment and networks
  • Participating in the 24/7 on-call IT rota, responding to emergencies as required
Requirements:
  • HND/degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline, or at least 5 years applicable experience
  • Broad range of technical skills in diverse IT hardware and business applications
  • Sound technical knowledge of core Microsoft Windows 10/11 desktop environments
  • Sound technical knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022 administration skills
  • Good understanding of IT security, including antivirus, hard drive encryption, and authentication
  • Experience of Microsoft Exchange and email services, including spam filtering and cloud continuity/messaging services
  • Previous experience in 1st/2nd line support roles
  • Ability to achieve Security Clearance (SC/DV)
