Position Overview

We are pleased to announce a remarkable opportunity for a motivated and innovative Clinical Operations Support Manager to become a vital member of the Clinical Administration Senior Management Team. This role is essential in facilitating the achievement of National Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assisting the Clinical Administration Operational Lead in the daily management of the service while implementing necessary enhancements.

The successful candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational skills, efficiency, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments. A strong background in human resources and leadership, along with experience in managing a substantial workforce, is essential. You will be responsible for overseeing your own responsibilities while effectively managing, monitoring, and delegating tasks within the Clinical Administration team to ensure compliance with established KPIs and service deadlines.

The Clinical Administration Service operates across multiple sites, necessitating travel between various locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Directly manage the Clinical Administration Team Managers and oversee the Clinical Administration Teams, comprising approximately 200 staff members.

- Lead by example, inspiring and developing team members to foster a positive culture focused on staff wellbeing and enhancing patient experiences.

- Review, maintain, and develop new standardized operational processes, policies, and procedures, collaborating with the Operational Lead Manager to integrate these into daily operations.

- Ensure the achievement of internal and external KPIs and targets at local, regional, and national levels, utilizing data analytical skills to present information professionally.

- Act as a deputy for the Operational Lead Manager when necessary and provide cross-coverage for colleagues as required.

- Exhibit excellent communication skills, fostering effective relationships across departments with all staff levels, service teams, corporate functions, and external organizations.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Level 3 Business Administration / BTEC certificate or equivalent demonstrable skills in various line management procedures.
  • Significant experience with IT systems and software applications.
  • Management qualification or proven experience in team management.
