Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Project Coordinator to become a vital member of our newly established UEC Transformation team. This role is essential for overseeing the ongoing transformation initiatives within our organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing comprehensive transformation projects, demonstrating expertise in prioritization, impact assessment, and quality assurance. Building and nurturing effective relationships with a diverse array of senior stakeholders is crucial, as this role will serve as a reliable source of transformation delivery knowledge, offering constructive feedback and strategic advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the allocation and management of resources for NEL UEC transformation initiatives, adhering to established prioritization protocols;
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of NEL UEC transformation initiatives and guide teams in enhancing performance where necessary;
  • Oversee risk management and governance frameworks across the project portfolio, aiding programs in identifying, mitigating, and escalating risks;
  • Coordinate and implement training, recruitment, and development strategies for the UEC Transformation Portfolio team.
  • Provide leadership and support within the portfolio management team, including mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Experience Requirements

Essential

  • Extensive experience in navigating politically sensitive environments;
  • Proven track record in coordinating projects within complex and demanding settings;
  • Proficient in risk management and reporting;
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate complex and sensitive information with senior stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing programs and projects within set timelines;
  • Capable of managing personal workload and making informed decisions under pressure.

Desirable

  • Experience in budget monitoring, data interpretation, and business planning processes.

Knowledge Requirements

Essential

  • Familiarity with project management principles, methodologies, and tools, including Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project.

Educational Qualifications

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification, or substantial experience in a similar role.
