About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Critical Care. As a Specialist Practitioner Psychologist, you will play a key role in developing and delivering psychological services to patients and their families in our ICU.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the critical care psychology service under the supervision of the clinical lead.
  • Contribute to the supervision of assistant and trainee psychologists.
  • Attend MDTs in ICU and MDT clinics for outpatients.
  • Support families of patients in ICU and advise families and staff on the best way to support children when they have a loved one in ICU.
  • Promote psychological wellbeing within the wider ICU team.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology.
  • Completion of suitable post-qualification supervised clinical experience with specialised client group(s).
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and presenting complex long-term health concerns.
