About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Nurse for Palliative Care. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the clinical Lead nurse and provide expert knowledge and leadership to the inpatient units and CNS nursing teams.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in leadership and team management, with experience in Palliative care. They will be confident and competent in a wide range of skills and demonstrate evidence of continuing professional learning and development.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialised professional advice to colleagues to ensure high standards of direct care delivery.
  • Interpret and implement national policy and support systems for professional revalidation and performance management of ward managers.
  • Work with autonomy to manage teams and ensure quality, safe care.
Requirements
  • Significant relevant clinical experience at Band 7 or equivalent or above.
  • Demonstrate experience in effective resource management skills.
  • Experience working within health and social service systems, both at local and strategic levels.
Qualifications and Knowledge
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Master's Level or possess skills, knowledge and/or training and experience to its equivalency.
  • Specialist knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experiences.
