Learning Disability and Mental Health Nurse Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ward Manager to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the core nursing establishment in the delivery of compassionate, high-quality, effective, patient-centered nursing care.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the management of the ward, including leading and developing the nursing team, implementing operational policies and processes, and ensuring clinical pathways are maintained. You will also be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring compliance with mandatory training, and working effectively as a member of the senior clinical and nursing leadership team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Implement operational policies and processes to ensure effective ward management
- Ensure clinical pathways are maintained and up-to-date
- Supervise staff and ensure compliance with mandatory training
- Work effectively as a member of the senior clinical and nursing leadership team
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Registered Nurse Learning Disability or Mental Health Qualification, a degree qualification in a relevant field of practice, and a management qualification or equivalent. You will also need to have relevant experience working with people with learning disabilities and mental health issues, as well as evidence of coordinating and managing a team of staff.
