About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality and Environmental Manager to join our team at Boyd Recruitment. As a key member of our HSEQ Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and environmental practices are maintained across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective quality and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to prevent non-conformities.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to operational teams to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of risk management processes, including risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and fire risk assessments.
  • Compile reports to inform senior management of internal audit findings, risk profiles, and non-conformity to contractual or external audits.
  • Identify and understand health, safety, environmental, and associated legal requirements relevant to the work and ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a full-time HS&E role, preferably in the Electrical and Construction industries.
  • Knowledge and experience of operational activities within the Electrical and Construction industries.
  • Experience of working for a large Principal Contractor acting as duty holder.
  • Practical experience of producing procedures, risk assessments, method statements, construction phase plans, waste management plans, and construction-based HS&E documentation.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate and internal auditing/management experience of ISO 45001/14001/9001.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with operational teams and senior management.
