HSEQ Officer Job Description

About the Role

Boyd Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Officer to join one of our leading clients in the energy, renewable, and telecommunication sectors. As an HSEQ Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's health, safety, and environmental policies are implemented and maintained across various sites in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety audits and site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental training programs to ensure employees are equipped to work safely.
  • Collaborate with the HSEQ Manager to develop and maintain site policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with company objectives.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and training activities, providing regular reports to management.

Requirements

  • CCNSG Safety Passport (desirable)
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (NEBOSH Construction an advantage)
  • Membership of IOSH (desirable)
