About the Opportunity

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Casework Manager to join our South West of England team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and support a team of casework professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery to beneficiaries across the region.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to a team of Regional Casework Coordinators, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Develop and implement effective processes and procedures to enhance casework efficiency and service delivery standards.
  • Collaborate closely with volunteer branch-based casework managers, building strong relationships and ensuring consistent support across the region.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous enhancement of services.
  • Provide direct support to casework administrators, including call handling, signposting, and initial client triage.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing teams, delivering exceptional service, and building strong stakeholder relationships. You will have a deep understanding of case management principles and best practices, coupled with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a service-oriented organization.
  • Experience working with volunteers and fostering collaborative partnerships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new computer systems quickly.
