About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at German Doner Kebab. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for leading our restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, customer service, and inventory control.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall dining experience.
- Manage and train a team of staff members, including kitchen, dining, and counter teams.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations, as well as maintain high standards of quality control and hygiene.
- Monitor and control costs, minimize waste, and ensure maximum profitability of the restaurant.
- Collaborate with the franchisee and German Doner Kebab to ensure accurate monthly accounts and timely receipt and administration of deliveries.
- Administer and maintain the German Doner Kebab PMC system.
- Monitor stock storage areas, ensuring they are secure, neat, and clean at all times.
- Collaborate with supervisors to ensure tight stock control and budgeted margins are achieved.
- Monitor daily ordering to ensure stock levels are maintained and orders are placed in a timely manner.
- Meet and greet customers, role-model exceptional customer care, and promote a positive working environment.
- Lead and comply with maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Support supervisors and colleagues at peak times and undertake any operational duty required to ensure guest expectations are met.
- Ensure GDK team members are well-groomed and smart ready for work.
- At all times promote and follow legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business.
- Maintain a local authority food safety certificate, ensuring compliance with EHO and fire safety officers.
- Have a good working knowledge of all equipment and efficiently take care of preventative maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Restaurant Manager.
- Demonstrated experience in customer service management.
- Extensive food knowledge.
- Proficiency in English.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software.
- Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
- Financial management skills.
