Senior Cardiology Simulation Fellow

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Senior Cardiology Simulation Fellow at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a senior clinical fellow, you will be responsible for teaching practical skills to junior trainees in cardiology, with a focus on electrophysiology or coronary intervention.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering a cardiac simulation program for cardiology trainees, including simulation courses and skills training.
- Supporting pericardiocentesis simulation sessions at two BHRS simulation events per year.
- Developing and planning simulation teaching packages that reflect current evidence-based practices.
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the development of patient-focused, collaborative protocols and practices.
- Identifying opportunities for multi-disciplinary teaching and learning within the Trust.
- Participating in quality assurance, evaluation, and audit of programs.
- Assisting in the development and progress of faculty members.
- Participating in approved research as indicated.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Senior clinical fellow experience with the ability to teach practical skills to junior trainees.
- Sign-off as competent for both core cardiology and specialist cardiology work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to continuing professional development.
- Good ICT skills, including experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
