Senior Clinical Fellow in Electrophysiology Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical services in cardiology, in accordance with clinical and legal requirements
* Participate in new patient and follow-up consultant-led outpatient clinics
* Provide inpatient services to cardiology patients
* Participate in an on-call rota covering inpatient activity and emergency work
* Supervise and train junior staff allocated to cardiology
* Work as a full member of the multi-disciplinary team
* Undertake regular ward rounds to ensure effective management during the in-patient stay
* Participate in audit within the department
Person Specification:
* Prior experience in cardiac electrophysiology (minimum 1 year)
* ST7 equivalence or post CCT level trainee
* General cardiology training (evidence of completion)
* Up to date Advance Cardiac Life Support training
* MBBS or equivalent
* Evidence of understanding and application of clinical care
* Full GMC registration with a license to practice
* Sound knowledge of cardiology
* Proficient and efficient handling of medical problems
* Good interpersonal skills and communication
* Highly motivated and clear reason for wanting this position
