Commercial Procurement Specialist

About the Role:
This is a key position within Forthglade Foods Limited's supply chain team, serving as a vital link between the company's supply and commercial functions. The primary objective of this role is to provide a clear demand signal into the supply chain, supporting factory scheduling, material purchasing, and the optimization of finished goods inventory.
Main Responsibilities:
- Demand and Forecast Management: Develop and maintain a robust demand planning system, collecting and analyzing data to create actionable insights, challenging commercial assumptions, and collaborating on action plans.
- Exceptional Demand Event Planning: Plan and execute exceptional demand events, such as promotional calendars, new product launches, and seasonal demand fluctuations.
- Forecast Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and report on medium- and long-term forecast changes that may impact the business, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Material Planning and Procurement: Translate demand planning data into material planning data for Forthglade Foods Limited's procurement and manufacturing teams, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
- Supply Chain Relationship Management: Manage relationships with D2C fulfillment providers and liaise with the FG.com team to ensure accurate material planning and performance.
- International Supply Chain Support: Provide support for international import/export and associated transportation procedures, working closely with finance and technical teams.
Requirements:
This role requires a confident and experienced supply chain professional with a strong analytical mindset, able to switch between data analysis and implementation of insights. The ideal candidate will have a robust character, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and ensuring excellent service levels while controlling costs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in demand planning, factory scheduling, material planning, and/or stock control.
- Strong understanding of demand planning processes, procedures, and measures.
- Logistics, storage, and transport management experience, including 3rd-party logistics relationships and international logistics in a food/meat environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG food manufacturing, warehousing, supply chain, and distribution environments.
