Dutton Recruitment is collaborating with a dedicated organization to find a compassionate and innovative Senior Project Support Specialist to enhance their team in a distinctive role.

This organization operates supported housing initiatives aimed at assisting individuals experiencing homelessness, addressing a range of needs.

They are committed to empowering homeless individuals by providing essential resources and support to help them regain stability. This includes assistance with life skills, fostering independence, financial management, and access to employment or educational opportunities. They also offer guidance on tenancy management and maintenance, pastoral care, and a person-centered approach.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a minimum of six months of paid experience in a support role within the UK. Experience in team management or supervision, along with the ability to provide advice and support to vulnerable individuals with diverse needs, is essential.

Ideally, candidates will have a background in the housing sector and experience supporting individuals with addiction issues. Familiarity with working alongside individuals with criminal backgrounds is also preferred.

The role involves acting as a senior project support specialist, providing coverage for other senior staff during their absences due to leave, training, or other commitments.

Flexibility is required to cover across multiple services, with the option to select a primary service location. Travel compensation is provided for visits to other sites.

Candidates should be open to working four days a week, with the opportunity to choose their schedule to accommodate personal commitments. Occasionally, night shifts may be required to meet project needs, but these will be scheduled with prior notice.

Comprehensive training will be provided, although prior experience in the housing sector and in a supervisory capacity is highly desirable.

This position is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with an initial period of temporary employment through Dutton Recruitment. Successful candidates may transition to permanent employment after the initial period.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the health, safety, and operational efficiency of the project and its residents.
  • Maintaining a clean and high-standard living environment.
  • Managing service charge collections and monitoring rent payments.
  • Assisting residents with housing benefit applications and tenancy documentation.
  • Facilitating resident meetings and encouraging participation in decision-making processes.
  • Leading morning devotions and overseeing daytime activities for residents.
  • Providing regular updates to management regarding pastoral care and suggesting improvements.

This role offers a diverse experience across multiple projects, enhancing professional development and skill acquisition.
