About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Southfields Veterinary Specialists. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with and perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography, radiography, and fluoroscopy.
  • Work closely with senior imaging nurses, deputy nurse managers, and specialized imaging radiologists to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Operate highly specialized imaging equipment, oversee equipment performance, and ensure high-quality image production.
  • Manage the picture archiving communication system, including imaging reconstruction, image and report backup, and archiving.
  • Perform general registered nursing duties, including anesthesia monitoring, intravenous catheter placement, drug dosage calculation, and patient recovery.
  • Oversee all aspects of radiation safety within the department.
