Program Manager, Transportation Operations

A Day in the Life
As a Program Manager, your responsibilities will encompass planning, executing, and enhancing initiatives that ensure the seamless operation of our services. You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of Amazon colleagues to gain insights into their workflows, sharing your expertise while learning from theirs. Together, you will uncover exciting new prospects and take the lead in designing their execution.
You will motivate and support your teams and colleagues to achieve significant deliverables while actively seeking new, data-driven methods to enhance our operations. Your contributions will be vital to your team's overall success.
About the Team
Amazon's success relies heavily on the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. By joining ATS, you will become part of a diverse group that plays a crucial role in our achievements. Utilizing air, sea, and road transport, along with state-of-the-art sortation centers, you will help ensure that Amazon's transportation operates at peak efficiency. Our team harnesses data to inform decisions, making Amazon more innovative and effective. We prioritize safety, recognizing that our people are our greatest asset. Leveraging our team's expertise, we ensure packages reach their destinations swiftly, conveniently, and sustainably.
Basic Qualifications
- A degree.
- Relevant experience in leading cross-functional programs or projects utilizing project management methodologies.
- Experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with a diverse range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or SQL in a professional context.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced or master's degree.
- Project management certification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or similar.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.
- Experience in an operational environment or with technical teams.
