Role Overview
We are in search of an exceptionally skilled, analytical, and driven expert in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) who can thrive at both operational and strategic levels. In this role, you will take ownership of the S&OP framework for short-distance middle-mile operations, ensuring the development of a capacity-viable plan that aligns with Amazon's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and execute the S&OP cycle for the Transportation Operations Program.
- Develop and implement an intra-week planning process to enhance program attainment and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate closely with various teams, including network planning, capacity planning, and operations, to continuously enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Incorporate known future events and manage constraints within a weekly planning routine.
- Address operational challenges with our transportation partners, resolving queries promptly and efficiently.
- Lead regional S&OP strategic operational initiatives, focusing on processes and tools.
- Contribute to the quarterly strategic planning process and present operational updates to senior leadership.
About the Team
The EU Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team is a dynamic and high-performing group dedicated to developing and implementing innovative solutions that enhance the Amazon transportation network, ultimately delivering the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-effective manner. We are looking for an experienced Program Manager with a robust analytical background to provide data-driven solutions.
Basic Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and effectively communicating results to senior leadership.
- Experience utilizing data and metrics to identify and drive improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Relevant experience in leading complex projects with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced or master's degree.
- Project management certification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or similar.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.
- Experience in an operational environment or with technical teams.
