Salary: £25,521.60 FT (£12,760.80 pro rata)

Hours: 20 hours per week

Contract: Fixed-term contract of 12 months, with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 months.

This position is designed to provide coverage during a staff member's educational leave.

Role Overview: We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as a Psychological Support Assistant. This role is essential in enhancing the psychological wellbeing of children and adolescents by collaborating with qualified psychologists to implement and assess evidence-based interventions that align with CareTech Group's objectives and the needs of our service users.

The responsibilities include:

  • Administering and scoring psychometric assessments.
  • Conducting standardized risk assessments.
  • Assisting in clinical formulation.
  • Providing support and consultation to staff.
  • Facilitating individual and group interventions.

Training and Development: Comprehensive induction training will be provided. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the field, ensuring continuous personal and professional growth through ongoing mentoring and support. Clinical supervision is a vital aspect of your development, and additional training will be encouraged.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, organized, and motivated. A solid understanding of therapeutic boundaries and the significance of evidence-based practices is crucial. We seek individuals with a genuine passion for helping others and a strong academic background in Psychology, preferably with prior experience in a similar role.
