About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a range of psychological interventions for children and young people using evidence-based practices.
  • Supervise assistant psychologists and psychology graduates to provide psychological interventions.
  • Be responsible for assessments, formulation, and recommendations for psychological support.
  • Formulate and deliver care plans involving psychological treatment and management of cases.
  • Train and guide support staff to provide psychologically informed practices across the home.
  • Implement a range of evidence-based psychological interventions, making evaluations and decisions about treatment options, and monitoring outcomes.
  • Participate in making evidence-based recommendations to the multidisciplinary team regarding assessment, interventions, and skills required to deliver the plan of care.
  • Provide clinical assessments and interventions in line with CareTech Group policies and procedures.
  • Maintain adherence to NICE guidelines and best practice clinical standards.
  • Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and other professional reviews.
  • Maintain accurate records of clinical input.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision.
  • Participate in service development initiatives.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration.
  • Working knowledge of child and adult safeguarding legislation.
  • Experience/knowledge of routine clinical outcomes monitoring.
  • Experience/knowledge of clinical risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use a computer competently, with a broad base of IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
  • Strong literacy and report writing skills, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience of managing complex caseloads and applying a range of interventions.
Desirable
  • Experience of delivering specialist assessments in Autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, complex needs, and/or challenging behaviors.
  • Knowledge of developmental trauma and in supporting families with children who are looked after/adopted.
