Our facility is a residential home designed for children with ongoing mental health challenges and behavioral issues that may hinder their ability to thrive in the community without ongoing support.

A dedicated educational institution is available on-site to address the academic needs of the young residents.

Position Summary:
We are looking to recruit qualified Clinical Psychologists (NHS band 8a equivalent) to join our multidisciplinary team, offering diverse and fulfilling work opportunities across various contexts. This role provides a chance to contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of our services.


We welcome applications from qualified psychologists interested in working with children and adolescents facing mental health challenges, those who have undergone trauma, and individuals with adverse childhood experiences, including those in care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently as a Clinical Psychologist under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team that includes Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, and Education professionals.
- Provide a range of psychological interventions for children and young people utilizing the latest evidence-based practices.
- Supervise assistant psychologists and therapeutic practitioners in delivering psychological interventions.
- Conduct assessments (including risk assessments), formulate treatment plans, and make recommendations for psychological support.
- Train and guide support staff to implement psychologically informed practices throughout the facility.

Clinical Duties:
- Implement a variety of evidence-based psychological interventions, evaluate treatment options, and monitor outcomes to ensure effectiveness for your caseload while supporting and supervising assistant psychologists and other practitioners.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to make evidence-based recommendations regarding assessments, interventions, and skills necessary to achieve care plans and desired health/social outcomes while minimizing risks.
- Conduct clinical assessments and interventions in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Engage in regular clinical supervision.

Qualifications:
- Postgraduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counseling psychology (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with child and adult safeguarding legislation.
- Experience or knowledge in routine clinical outcomes monitoring.
- Proficiency in clinical risk assessment.
- Competent computer skills with a broad range of IT capabilities.
- Strong literacy and report writing skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in delivering specialized assessments in Autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, complex needs, and/or challenging behaviors.
