About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Bushey Fields Hospital. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients, leading by example and mentoring junior doctors. You will have the opportunity to develop good collaborative therapeutic alliances with patients and their families, while being a pillar of clinical and educational support for your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Lead by example and mentor junior doctors, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning
  • Develop good collaborative therapeutic alliances with patients and their families, ensuring a patient-centered approach to care
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and patient safety
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care
