We are seeking applications for a full-time Senior Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry. This position is integral to a collaborative team that operates within both inpatient settings and community environments, emphasizing a model of Continuous Care. The role includes access to local facilities and robust partnerships with community services and crisis resolution teams, ensuring that patients receive care close to their residences. The community services are based in a comprehensive mental health facility where the successful candidate will work alongside fellow consultants, medical professionals, community psychiatric nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and social workers, delivering sectorized services across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engagement in leadership and innovative practices
- Active participation in service enhancement and collaboration with general practitioners and primary healthcare
- Involvement in medical governance, fostering engagement from medical personnel
- Instruction of postgraduate psychiatric and GP trainees, as well as undergraduate students
- Commitment to a full-time schedule with a structured Job Plan
