Position Overview

The Facilities Management Team at Lancashire County Council is seeking a dedicated Laundry Operations Specialist to perform essential laundry services at Dolphinlee House.

The scheduled working hours are from 09:00 to 12:00, following a two-week rotation:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday
Week 2: Thursday & Friday

Lancashire County Council is committed to delivering crucial residential care services to the community, ensuring a safe and secure environment that promotes independence for older individuals while addressing various care requirements. The Facilities Management team is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene through effective cleaning and laundry operations across all Residential Care Homes and Day Centres. Ensuring the cleanliness of personal belongings is vital for the well-being of service users.

High standards of laundry and cleanliness are expected in this role. While prior experience is advantageous, comprehensive training and continuous support will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating washing and drying machines efficiently.
  • Folding and pressing laundry items to maintain quality.
  • Organizing and storing laundry items appropriately.
  • Performing additional cleaning tasks as required.
