Job Summary

Culina Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of warehouse staff to ensure the efficient and effective management of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff to achieve productivity and service KPIs, ensuring that all team members are motivated and empowered to perform at their best.
  • Health, Safety, and Hygiene: Ensure that the highest possible levels of health, safety, and hygiene are upheld in the warehouse, complying with legislative and quality requirements, and ensuring that relevant paperwork is completed and retained.
  • Communication and Briefings: Deliver regular communication briefings to ensure that all team members are aware of company and local issues, and that they feel involved and empowered to contribute to the success of the warehouse.
  • Goods Inwards Management: Manage the Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods, ensuring that stock is available to satisfy orders.
  • Team Development: Develop all team members to maximize their contributions to the warehouse, and implement succession planning to ensure that the team is equipped to meet future challenges.
  • Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures: Carry out disciplinary and grievance interviews and investigations in line with company procedure.
  • Sickness Absence and Time and Attendance: Monitor and control sickness absence levels in line with company policy, and carry out return to work interviews effectively and efficiently.
  • Overtime and Agency Workers: Ensure that the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers are used to efficiently and cost-effectively run the shift.
  • Company Policies and Procedures: Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Computer Literacy: Be computer literate with knowledge of Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Have excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information.
  • Adaptability and Methodical Approach: Be adaptable and have a methodical approach to work, training, and working hours.
  • Conscientious and Reliable: Be conscientious and reliable, with a proactive approach and ability to make decisions.
  • Teamwork and Individual Work: Be able to work as part of a team or individually, with a professional, approachable, and helpful attitude to ensure the smooth running of the general operation.
