Job Summary:

Culina Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of warehouse staff to ensure the efficient and effective management of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Manage and motivate a team of warehouse staff to ensure productivity and service levels are achieved or exceeded.
  • Health, Safety and Hygiene: Ensure the highest possible levels of Health, Safety and Hygiene are upheld, and relevant paperwork is completed and retained.
  • Communication: Deliver communication briefings to ensure all team members are aware of company and local issues, and are able to offer input and improvements.
  • Goods Inwards: Manage the Goods Inwards area to ensure receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods, and stock is available to satisfy orders.
  • Training and Development: Develop all team members to maximize their contributions to the warehouse, and implement succession planning.
  • Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures: Carry out disciplinary and grievance interviews and investigations in line with company procedure.
  • Sickness Absence and Time and Attendance: Monitor and control sickness absence levels, and carry out return to work interviews effectively and efficiently.
  • Overtime and Agency Workers: Ensure the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers are used to efficiently and cost-effectively run the shift.
  • Company Policies and Procedures: Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in the use of computer systems, including Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver accurate information to team members and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and Methodical Approach: Adaptable and methodical approach to work, training, and working hours.
  • Conscientious and Reliable: Conscientious and reliable, with a proactive approach to work.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team or individually.
  • Professionalism: Professional, approachable, and helpful, with a focus on ensuring the smooth running of the general operation.
