Job Summary:
Culina Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of warehouse staff to achieve exceptional productivity and service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate the warehouse team to ensure that productivity and service KPIs are achieved or exceeded.
- Health, Safety, and Hygiene: Ensure the highest possible levels of health, safety, and hygiene are upheld, and relevant paperwork is completed and retained.
- Communication: Deliver communication briefings to ensure all team members are aware of company and local issues, and are able to offer input and improvements.
- Inventory Management: Manage the Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods, and stock is available to satisfy orders.
- Training and Development: Develop all team members to maximize their contributions to the warehouse and implement succession planning.
- Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures: Carry out disciplinary and grievance interviews and investigations in line with company procedure.
- Sickness Absence and Time and Attendance: Monitor and control sickness absence levels and time and attendance systems.
- Overtime and Agency Workers: Ensure the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers to efficiently and cost-effectively run the shift.
- Company Policies and Procedures: Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Computer literate with knowledge of Excel.
- Confident at dealing with people at all levels.
- Adaptable and methodical approach to work, training, and working hours.
- Conscientious and reliable.
- Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Effectively prioritize workload to meet set deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
- Professional, approachable, and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation.
- Proactive approach and able to make decisions.
