About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Stroke Team at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with stroke and other neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with stroke and other neurological conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and functional ability.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure high-quality care and professional development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of stroke rehabilitation services and policies.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and membership of the Chartered Society of Occupational Therapy (CSOT).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in stroke rehabilitation, with a strong background in occupational therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
