Job Title: Consultant Neurologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Neurologist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Consultant Neurologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality neurology services to patients in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general neurology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Offer subspecialty expertise to complement the delivery of a comprehensive Neurology service
  • Contribute to the teaching and training of students at Nottingham University Medical School
  • Supervise Specialist Trainees in Neurology
  • Participate in the delivery of Inpatient Care through the Consultant of the Week (COTW) system
  • Contribute to the provision of Hyper-Acute Neurology Unit (HANU) services

Working Environment: The Neurology department is part of the Nottingham Regional Neuroscience Unit, serving the population of Nottingham and providing an outreach neurological service to Kings Mill Hospital in Mansfield. We work closely with other peripheral hospitals to support their neurology services.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in neurology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. You will also need to be able to contribute to the delivery of teaching and training to students and Specialist Trainees.
