Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the material supply chain aspects of new product introductions. This pivotal role involves collaborating with the engineering team to ensure seamless planning and execution of product development and launches. Your contributions will be essential in supporting the launch manager and various stakeholders in achieving key objectives in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with procurement and scheduling teams to align material sourcing with procurement strategies and ensure timely deliveries in accordance with product launch timelines.
  • Work with the engineering department to pinpoint product changes or new product introduction (NPI) planning requirements, adjusting material demand and production schedules as necessary.
  • Maintain all planning parameters, Bills of Materials (BoMs), and part master data to the correct revisions or configurations.
  • Facilitate Value Stream Mapping sessions with key stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Generate and distribute schedules for pre-production and prototype builds.
  • Monitor shipments of both supplier and internal parts, ensuring material control and completion.
  • Identify and report deviations from established standards, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and complete shipment monitoring reports for review.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP-based systems.
  • Relevant logistics or supply chain qualifications (APICs, IoSCM, MCIPS, BSc).
  • Proficient understanding of BoMs, Routings, and Item Master setups within an ERP system.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, facilitating effective communication across all levels of the organization.

Additional Information:

  • This is a medium to long-term contract position.
  • Flexibility to visit multiple sites as required.
  • Compensation will be based on experience.
  • Contract options are available.
  • Enjoy 20 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
