Position Overview

The role involves taking charge of the material supply chain aspects related to new product introductions, collaborating closely with the engineering team to facilitate the planning and execution of product development and launches. This position is crucial in assisting the launch manager and various stakeholders to achieve success in key automotive initiatives.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with procurement and scheduling teams to ensure material sourcing aligns with procurement strategies and that delivery schedules meet product launch timelines.
  • Work alongside the engineering team to pinpoint product changes or new product introduction planning requirements, adjusting material demand and production schedules accordingly.
  • Maintain all planning parameters, Bills of Materials (BoMs), and part master data to the appropriate revisions or configurations.
  • Lead Value Stream Mapping sessions with essential stakeholders.
  • Create and distribute schedules for pre-production and prototype builds.
  • Oversee the shipments of both supplier and internal parts, ensuring material control and completion.
  • Report any deviations from standard processes and implement corrective measures.
  • Complete monitoring reports for shipments.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP-based systems.
  • Technical qualifications in logistics or supply chain management (APICs, IoSCM, MCIPS, BSc).
  • Proficient understanding of BoMs, Routings, and Item Master setup within an ERP system.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication skills that facilitate both bottom-up and top-down communication.
