The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment: Proven track record of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and supply chain management.
  • MRP System Expertise: Robust working knowledge of MRP-based systems, with the ability to analyze and optimize supply chain operations.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Qualifications: Possession of a logistics or supply chain technical qualification, such as APICs, IoSCM, MCIPS, or BSc.
  • Analytical and Organizational Skills: Highly numeric, analytical, and organized, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • ERP System Knowledge: Understanding of Bills of Materials (BoMs), Routings, and Item Master Set up in an ERP system.
  • Project Management Skills: Solid organizational, time, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Effective communicator who facilitates bottom-up and top-down communication channels, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Material Supply Chain Management: Responsible for the material supply chain element of new product introduction, ensuring that inventory working capital impact is minimized through effective material phasing and burn off.
  • Planning and Execution: Supporting the engineering function with the planning and execution of new product development and launch, ensuring that planning and supply chain alignment are in line with the latest engineering configuration for production and customer material requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Ensuring that all planning parameters, BoMs, and part master data are maintained to the correct revision or configuration, and creating and maintaining Plan for Every Part (PFEP) to ensure accurate assessment of necessary storage and provision of packaging.
  • Value Stream Mapping: Facilitating Value Stream Mapping with key stakeholders to ensure effective material flow and alignment to system transactions.
  • Schedule Generation: Generating and issuing schedules for pre-production and prototype builds, and liaising with procurement to ensure supply of material samples and tooling are sourced in line with pre-production requirements.
  • Material Availability Checks: Carrying out material availability checks and ensuring any delays or risks are reported and necessary mitigation plans are put in place.
  • Stock Management and Reporting: Monitoring both supplier and internal parts' shipments and material control, including stock management and reporting.
  • Support to Logistics Manager, Programme, and Engineering Teams: Providing support to Logistics Manager, Programme, and Engineering teams, including organizing shipments in accordance with parts release schedule and document and project alterations.
