Role Overview
As a critical contributor to the material supply chain for new product introductions, you will support the engineering team in planning and executing product development and launches. This position is essential for collaborating with the launch manager and various stakeholders to achieve success in key automotive initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with procurement and scheduling teams to ensure material sourcing aligns with procurement strategies and that delivery schedules meet product launch timelines.
- Work with the engineering team to identify deliverables for product changes or new product introduction (NPI) programs, scheduling material requirements and production plans accordingly.
- Maintain all planning parameters, Bills of Materials (BoMs), and part master data to the appropriate revisions or configurations.
- Lead Value Stream Mapping sessions with key stakeholders to enhance process efficiency.
- Create and distribute schedules for pre-production and prototype builds.
- Oversee shipments of both supplier and internal parts, ensuring effective material control and completion.
- Report any deviations from standard procedures and implement corrective measures.
- Prepare and complete shipment monitoring reports.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP-based systems.
- Technical qualifications in logistics or supply chain management (APICS, IoSCM, MCIPS, BSc).
- Proficient understanding of BoMs, routings, and item master setup within an ERP system.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills, facilitating effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Additional Information:
- This position is a medium to long-term contract.
- Flexibility to visit multiple sites as required.
- Compensation will be based on experience.
- Various contract options are available.
- 20 days of holiday plus public holidays.
