Media and External Affairs Communications Specialist

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced media practitioner to join our External Affairs team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing our external-facing media and social media functions, while advising on FSRH strategic issues. The role will also involve working closely with other internal departments to develop and execute internal and corporate communications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective media and social media strategies to promote FSRH's advocacy ambitions
- Manage FSRH's external-facing media and social media functions, including content creation and distribution
- Advise on FSRH strategic issues and provide input on key policy and advocacy initiatives
- Collaborate with other internal departments to develop and execute internal and corporate communications
- Work closely with a Senior Media Consultant to upskill and develop the role
We are looking for a bright individual with an interest in healthcare policy and a passion for improving society. A background in PR, social and other media disciplines is highly desirable. Excellent writing skills are essential, as is a broad understanding of communications techniques to engage policy makers and the general public around the issues that clinicians and the public alike face.
