External Affairs Media Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced media practitioner to join our External Affairs team as an External Affairs Media Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare's (FSRH) external-facing media and social media functions, while advising on FSRH strategic issues where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities- Manage FSRH's external-facing media and social media functions, ensuring effective communication of our advocacy ambitions to policy makers and the general public.
- Work closely with the Senior Media Consultant to develop and execute internal and corporate communications, including the production of high-quality outputs.
- Collaborate with other internal Departments to develop and execute internal and corporate communications, ensuring a cohesive and effective communications strategy.
- Develop and maintain a broad understanding of communications techniques to engage policy makers and the general public around the issues that clinicians and the public alike face.
- Excellent writing skills and a broad understanding of communications techniques.
- A background in PR, social and other media disciplines is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
