Job Title: Tutor - Bus and Coach - Level 3 Standard

At National Skills Agency, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality coaching and mentoring to students, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill teaching commitments in both classroom and workshop environments, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning experience for students.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning programmes, working closely with employers and learners to identify areas for improvement and set achievable goals.
  • Deliver Maths and English (and ICT where applicable) to support learners' achievement and progress in these areas, using a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Collaborate with Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) team members to ensure best practice, identify development needs, and provide sampling and monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-quality learning materials, ensuring they are engaging, interactive, and meet the needs of learners.
  • Actively contribute to our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
Role Requirements:
  • Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery), demonstrating a strong understanding of the subject matter and teaching methods.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent, or willingness to undertake, ensuring a solid foundation in core skills.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, effective coaching that meets learner needs, using a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and interactive teaching in the workshop to meet learners' needs, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Proactive approach to driving learner performance and engagement, using data and feedback to inform teaching practices and improve outcomes.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Coaching qualification, demonstrating a strong understanding of coaching principles and practices.
  • Teaching qualification (Cert ed/CTTLS/DTTLS), showcasing a commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for teaching.
  • Knowledge of Government-funded training, ensuring a strong understanding of the funding landscape and the ability to navigate complex policies and procedures.
