Job Summary

UPS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Airfreight Operations Coordinator to join our team at the UPS Heathrow depot. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of airfreight movements, including preparing paperwork, off-loading and on-loading aircraft, and performing internal audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process airfreight documentation, including customs forms and delivery receipts.
  • Off-load and on-load aircraft, ensuring that all procedures are followed and that cargo is handled safely and efficiently.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with UPS procedures and regulations.
  • Manage ground movements, including arriving and departing flights, to maintain accurate inventory of containers.
  • Produce load plans and manifests for flight destinations, using weight and balance systems to ensure accurate cargo loading.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Oversee the off-load of UPS vehicles and ensure vendors comply with UPS procedures.
  • Communicate with office personnel to ensure timely and accurate data exchange.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
