Position Overview:
Amazon UK Services Ltd. is on the lookout for a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as a Consumer Public Relations Lead.

This role is pivotal in orchestrating impactful campaigns for significant retail events, showcasing the exceptional value customers experience while shopping with Amazon.

The successful candidate will be integrated within the International Stores Communications team and will report directly to the Head of Consumer Communications in the UK.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute comprehensive PR campaigns for major retail occasions.
  • Manage launches and promotional activities centered around shopping innovations.
  • Craft campaign strategies, messaging, and media outreach materials.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key media outlets to secure top-tier coverage.
  • Provide strategic counsel to internal leadership on PR opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with agencies and international teams to implement PR initiatives.
  • Work closely with various internal departments to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Effectively navigate complex PR challenges from both business and media perspectives.
  • Assist in managing issues and crisis communications related to the UK retail sector.

Qualifications:
  • Several years of experience in a creative communications role, either in a PR agency or in-house.
  • Extensive experience engaging with high-level consumer media contacts across various sectors.
  • Strong writing skills focused on business communication.
  • Hands-on experience with digital and social media, as well as influencer marketing.
  • Experience in issues management, including developing messaging and Q&A documents.
  • Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Outlook, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in retail with knowledge of the UK retail and online markets.
