Position Overview

In the role of PR Manager for the UK, you will play a pivotal role in amplifying our public relations and media visibility within one of Vinted's key markets, covering consumer, lifestyle, and news sectors. Reporting to the Consumer PR Lead, you will oversee the management of the press office in the UK and strategically position our brand, products, values, and reputation across various media channels. You will collaborate with our UK PR freelancer and work closely with Corporate and Consumer PR teams located in other regions.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the UK media landscape, a well-established network in general news, mainstream, consumer, and lifestyle press, and a knack for identifying compelling stories. This position is ideal for someone eager to contribute to a dynamic, purpose-driven tech company that is revolutionizing the consumption of fashion and lifestyle products.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Formulate and implement a targeted annual PR strategy for the UK to enhance understanding and positive sentiment towards the Vinted brand, including messaging, Q&As, objectives, and roadmap.
  • Adapt and execute global initiatives and multi-channel campaigns within the UK.
  • Collaborate with Corporate PR colleagues to identify opportunities for thought leadership and speaking engagements for spokespersons in the UK.
  • Monitor and report on results based on established KPIs and communication objectives.

Media Relations

  • Cultivate and strengthen media relationships within the UK.
  • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of our UK PR freelancer.
  • Address relevant press inquiries and manage communications with external partners.
  • Stay informed about the news landscape and media coverage related to Vinted and our industry in the UK.

Candidate Profile

  • Proficient in English.
  • Several years of experience in press office management, media relations, PR campaigns, and events within the UK, whether in an agency or in-house setting.
  • Established network and strong connections with a broad range of UK media outlets.
  • Proven success in creating and executing impactful media campaigns on topics such as sustainability, second-hand goods, fashion, technology, consumer issues, and corporate news.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments involving multiple stakeholders, including C-level executives.
  • Skilled in managing challenging situations and crisis communications.
  • A proactive team player with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing projects independently and overseeing agency work.
