Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team at Agilent Technologies Inc. in London and Cambridge. As an integral member of our UK Sales team, you will be responsible for growing the life science, academic, and biopharma business by selling chromatography and mass spectrometry solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales targets and forecasts by developing and implementing a successful sales strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including universities and research institutes, to identify new business opportunities.
  • Proactively prospect for new customers and develop business in startups and university spin-offs.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Specialists and Application Engineers to provide solutions to customers' non-standard tasks and queries.
  • Develop and implement key marketing programs with the Field Sales Channel to drive sales growth.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain rigorous CRM updates and expense reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience selling instruments or solutions in Agilent's markets.
  • Working knowledge of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry, as it pertains to an analytical lab.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Life Sciences/Biotech market.
  • Excellent networking abilities to integrate customer priorities and influence key stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English.
