Position: Building Management Systems Engineer

Objective : This role demands a proactive, customer-centric mindset, showcasing complete accountability for delivering a comprehensive Project Solution. The focus is on facilitating the execution and finalization of projects while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction alongside the Schneider Project Team. The position entails overseeing, engineering, planning, and allocating resources for various design initiatives within the End User Projects Team. Close collaboration with the Operations Manager, Project Managers, and the Engineering Manager of the Region is essential, providing an opportunity for career advancement within the Projects Team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize the safety of your workforce in all operations and designs. Promote the expected standards of document usage and control to ensure a safe working environment, taking responsibility for personal and collective safety. Identify knowledge gaps that may impact safety levels.
  • Design and assist in the execution of multiple projects while maintaining a solid financial understanding, including procurement processes, invoice approvals, managing variations, final account agreements, and monthly cost reviews. Maintain close communication with the Project Management Team, Operations Manager, and Commercial team.
  • Define and comprehend project goals, objectives, and performance metrics to ensure they are achieved or surpassed, delivering the highest quality outcomes.
  • Conduct or oversee the engineering design of BMS and integrated projects, including I/O schedules, operational descriptions, control panel design approvals, plant schematics, health and safety documentation, and operation and maintenance documentation, ensuring adherence to quality standards and ISO requirements.
  • Support, coach, and mentor the project team throughout the successful delivery of projects. Identify specific project challenges and develop proactive strategies to address any knowledge or skill deficiencies promptly.
  • Take initiative in gathering all necessary information to advance project work. Participate in site meetings with customers, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants as part of your personal development plan when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in BMS projects or a related field.
  • A background in data centers is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SE products is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems is beneficial but not essential.
Educational Background:
  • HND/HNC, degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
