Project Overview

The University of Cambridge is seeking a talented individual to join a collaborative project focused on climate adaptation. This project is part of the Open-Oxford-Cambridge AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership and will be based in the Department of Architecture.

Project Objectives

The successful applicant will work on a collaborative project co-led by Professor Emily So and Dr Juliet Mian, with additional supervision possible from Professor Alan Blackwell. The project aims to explore and propose methods of communication at a system and landscape level for floods and other risks in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to the development of research-led designs for climate adaptation
  • Collaborate with practitioners and local communities to gain insights and inform research
  • Pilot research-led designs during their PhD

Funding and Benefits

The DTP studentships will provide an annual maintenance grant to cover living costs and university tuition fees at home fee level. The fee gap between the home and overseas fee rates will be covered by the University through internal co-funding for international candidates.

Application Process

All applications will need to be made through the University Postgraduate Application Portal. Informal enquiries about the project should be directed to the University supervisor.
