Project Overview
The University of Cambridge is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Collaborative Doctoral Award holder. This prestigious award will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work on a collaborative project co-led by Professor Emily So and Dr Juliet Mian, with additional supervision from Professor Alan Blackwell.
Project Description
The project aims to explore and propose methods of communication at a system and landscape level for floods and other risks in the UK. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the UK's climate adaptation programme by partnering with Arup and the EA in their recently launched FENS2100+ project.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on methods of communication for floods and other risks in the UK
- Develop and propose new methods of communication at a system and landscape level
- Collaborate with Arup and the EA on the FENS2100+ project
- Contribute to the development of the UK's climate adaptation programme
Funding and Benefits
The DTP studentships will provide an annual maintenance grant to cover living costs and university tuition fees at home fee level. The fee gap between the home and overseas fee rates will be covered by the University through internal co-funding for international candidates.
