Job Description:

At Leonardo, we are seeking an experienced Principal Test Equipment Engineer to join our Electronics Division in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Support and Services Solutions (S3) business unit, you will provide engineering support to our manufacturing production halls, engineering labs, and external customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a close-knit team of engineers to ensure calibration, repair, maintenance, and safety testing activities are executed efficiently.
  • Develop and implement effective asset management strategies to maximize equipment availability.
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to drive cost savings and improve quality.
  • Provide technical leadership and problem-solving skills to drive business growth.
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive changes in working practices and toolsets.
Requirements:
  • Education to HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous team leadership experience or a desire to develop a career in team leadership.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in debugging and fault-finding of complex electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of measurement systems and the full product design lifecycle.
